Hi Guys

I am trying to find out what type of interest there would be in a benchrest open which would be held at my local club later in the year probaly sept/oct 09 in East Sussex
Currently the club is having a facelift and a new indoor 6 lane 25m range is being built . The outside range is also having a facelift and there will be a covered 25m and 50m .
Currently we are going to have the following .
The new range will be wheelchair friendly .

25m indoor rimfire
25m outdoor air rifle .

classes are still to be confirmed but we will try to accomadate as many classes as possible .

At the moment we are trying to establish the interest in the event .
If you think you would be interested then just reply here .

Personally I would be much more likely to come if it were Air rifle indoors and the rim outside. Preferably with the rimfire at both 25 and 50m. I currently have to shoot everything outside and know which I would rather be able to shoot on an indoor range, especially as the weather starts to get worse in the autum.

I'm with you on that one big fella, I'm indoors in one club and outdoors at the other. The only consolation may be, that after the upgrade, the firing point will be larger & covered to a better standard than it is already. There's cosy and there's cosy, iff'n you catch my drift!

Covered Firing points? You lucky £*$#. I can shoot 50m but only if no one else wants to use the range. have to set up the bench on the grass infront of the prone (enclosed) firing points. It's not too bad at this time of the year with the lighter evenings but in the winter I'm not too sure what we will do. Lighting the targets will be the least of my worries then.

There's lots going on at the moment Andy.
Mark was testing the water and still is. Realistically, I don't suppose anything concrete will be proposed, until after the official opening on the 30th of this month.
Gary.

Hi Andy

Gary is right we are just waiting for the reopening of the club , so i can see in more detail how an event can be run .
It will most proberly be after the nationals before I can make a decision .
I wanted to test the water on here to see who would be interested .
