Came across this article, which, although aimed at centrefire benchrest, can in the most part be adapted to rimfire as well:

Brendan Atkinson has won anything & everything in Centre Frie Benchrest & is part of the GOLD winning Aussie team in WBC10 South Africa, the advise is sound.

Brendon is one of the good guys, he is a former centerfire 2 gun world champion and was 3rd in South Africa and shot and won a bit of rimfire too. But I will say unlike me he does know what he is talking about. Bill and I had a beer or 2 with him at the opening function for Pacific Rim championships last year.
